Reasons Why They Come To New York City Chill
Chronic Muscle Tension & Pain Relief
Tight shoulders, neck stiffness, and lower back pain are some of the top reasons clients seek massage. Skilled, focused work helps release long-held tension, improve range of motion, and ease discomfort from posture or repetitive strain.
Stress Reduction & Relaxation
Massage helps calm the nervous system, lower cortisol levels, and promote a deep sense of relaxation. Many clients notice improved sleep, better focus, and a lighter, calmer mood after each session.
Recovery & Circulation Support
Regular massage boosts blood flow, supports the lymphatic system, and speeds recovery from soreness or workouts — making it ideal for both active individuals and those who sit for long hours.
Sinus Tension, Clenching & TMJ Relief
It’s not just cosmetic — facial lymphatic work can relieve sinus pressure, reduce facial tightness, and help those who experience frequent headaches or facial tension.
Puffiness & Fluid Retention
Facial lymphatic drainage helps drain excess fluid and reduce puffiness, especially around the eyes and cheeks, for a more sculpted, refreshed look.
Natural Facial Sculpting & Tone
By lifting and releasing deep muscle tension, buccal massage improves circulation and definition in the cheeks, jawline, and around the mouth — giving the face a more lifted, balanced appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, at the moment we only accept FSA/HRA/HSA debit cards.
Do I have to fill out my intake before my massage?
Yes, please. Please take a moment to complete your intake forms as thoroughly as possible. Your massage therapist will carefully review them to ensure there are no medical contraindications that may require adjusting your treatment—or, in some cases, rescheduling for a safer time.Completing these forms in advance also helps save time during your visit. Instead of going through lengthy questions in person, your therapist can simply confirm key details and begin your session right away—tailored to your needs and in the safest way possible.
Who will my massage therapist be?
At this time, sessions are provided by Joshua Martinez only. We kindly ask that you ensure you’re comfortable with this before booking. Your comfort and trust are our top priorities, and you can rest assured that every session is guided by the highest standards of professionalism, respect, and care. We understand some clients may prefer a female therapist, and we are actively working to add one to our team in the near future. In the meantime, we’re here to provide you with a safe, knowledgeable, and welcoming experience.
How should I prepare?
Wear comfortable clothing and arrive with a clean face if you’re receiving facial or buccal work. Avoid heavy makeup or skincare products before your session. All materials and linens are provided.
Should I tip my massage therapist?
Your health and comfort are always our focus. While gratuity is often customary, it is never expected here. Think of our work as you would a medical massage—just as you wouldn’t tip your doctor, tips are not required. That said, if you feel inclined to leave a gratuity, it is always appreciated but entirely at your discretion.
